This is the full orchestral version.
The original version of Sad Prelude and Carefree was written for the Derby Youth Orchestra, for strings and piano 1991.
The first movement, 'Sad Prelude' expresses sad
thought and reflections on youthful concerns,
the second movement, 'Carefree' expresses
youthful happiness and unconcerned joyfulness,
free from all cares.
